So would you like to be a member of our infrastructure centre of excellence based in our modern office in Reading?

We are seeking individuals with extensive Underground Utility Surveying experience to support the continued expansion of our Geospatial expertise within the UK Surveying and Reality Capture business.

As a Principal Surveyor you will be required to efficiently organise and maintain field survey teams and equipment to complete Underground Utility survey project tasks. You will be able to review job specifications and plan fieldwork methods, and accurately observe, calculate and record field data.

Essential Criteria
  • Experience working on survey projects and have suitable demonstrable project experience.
  • Experience managing survey teams and mentoring individuals.
  • Appropriate qualification in the field of Land Surveying / Underground Utility Surveying / Geophysics
  • Professional Membership of a relevant Chartered Institution
  • Extensive experience in Underground Utility Surveying, including PAS128 and GPR post processing
  • Work without direct day-to-day supervision and make technical and supervisory decisions for projects assigned within specified limits of authority.
  • Experience advising project teams and clients in appropriate solutions.
  • Experience with all forms of land and underground utility capture and data processing.
  • Assist in business development, competent in advising clients and maintaining customer relationships.
  • Full driving licence is essential.

Desirable Criteria
  • Evidence of planning daily activities considering possible multiple projects to meet productivity goals set by Project Managers.
  • Evidence of input to Project Managers and Group Leaders for the formal performance evaluation of crew members.
  • Evidence of survey department and field team training.
