Responsibilities:

Interested individual will act as first level support for factory automation teams. He/she will be working closely with production, equipment engineering, IT to troubleshoot and resolve daily systems issues raised. It is also expected for the individual to support the automation engineer to help implement new automation systems as decide by management.

• Act as first level support for the factory automation systems team.

• Attend to day-to-day systems issues, perform troubleshooting and provide resolution.

• Coordinate with equipment and process engineering team to ensure data collected by business systems is accurate, relevant and critical for monitoring purposes.

• Assist in providing briefing, guidance and training to end user on the implementation of new feature or enhancement developed by automation team.

• Participate in system enhancement initiatives by collecting user feedback and suggest improvement idea, potentially helping to develop and implement them.

• Create and document best practice on using automations systems for end user.

• Provide support for system UAT activities on machine by automation engineer or OEM vendor.

• Manage servers, computers and any hardware that fall under automation team ownership.

• Actively demonstrate a passion for continuous learning.

• Any other ad hoc duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Minimum NITEC or Diploma in engineering or related fields.

• At least 3 years of relevant experience.

• Entry level candidates are also welcome to apply.

• Must be able to commit to perform 12 hours rotating shift and work in cleanroom environment.

• Good communication and documentation skills

• Strong problem solving and systems issues troubleshooting skills

• Good Team Player and able to work independently

• Following Requirements are a plus:

➢ Familiar with SECS/GEM communication protocol

➢ Knowledge of Basic SQL concept e.g Microsoft SQL, Oracle

➢ Knowledge in at least 1 Programming scripting language, Python, VB script
