IT Service Desk Analyst

Our client is a global manufacturer of Speciality Chemicals and Polymers and due to continued growth, they are now looking to add a IT Service Desk Analyst to their team on a 6 month contract basis, with the possibility for this to lead to a permanent position. You will be involved in a variety of project tasks and actively analyse and troubleshoot.

Responsibilities
- First line telephony and second line desktop technical support, as this is a hybrid position
- Provide on-site and remote technical assistance to business customers based at Grangemouth and remote sites
- Work on-site and assist with hardware installations, computer builds, client software upgrades, active directory administration, system integrations, and other desktop related incidents and requests
- You will also be involved in project activities where Service Desk and Desktop specific skills and experience is required as part of new service implementations and upgrades
- Respond to client support incidents and requests by phone and/or automated helpdesk system tickets
- Install and upgrade operating systems and client software
- Advising on client software or hardware upgrades
- Maintaining an asset management system of all client machines
- User and workstation administration using Active Directory
- Troubleshooting and resolving email issues (Outlook client and M365)
- Providing support and assistance for meeting room audio visual equipment.
- Candidates will holds a ITIL foundation level certification and MCDST or role based equivalent
- Extensive knowledge of computer hardware and software
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving skills
- Proven work experience as a desktop engineer
- Excellent knowledge of current Microsoft operating systems and client software
- Working knowledge of automated helpdesk and asset management systems
- Hold a UK Driving Licence
