Description:
Role Summary:
In this role, you will be responsible for providing strategic sourcing support to the Digital Technology Sourcing Team working with suppliers that provide Digital Technology related products and services.
Essential Responsibilities:
You will establish relationships by building trust with internal stakeholders and third-party suppliers, then develop/execute strategies for each transaction in order to achieve business outcomes. You will lead and have responsibility for negotiations and sourcing initiatives for the Digital Technology staff and team.
Responsibilities:
Drive global sourcing strategies in alignment with the Baker Hughes' Digital Technology requirements Partner with Sourcing and DT leadership to ensure all commercial requirements capture desired cost, performance, service, and business outcomes
Develop & cultivate mutually beneficial relationships and strategic engagements with key suppliers and stakeholders
Plan and assist Commodity Leaders with technology related negotiations across the company, and managing category spend
Partner with Senior Commodity Leader(s) to negotiate all needed contracts, including: hardware, software (& SaaS), or professional services with an emphasis on software contracts
Collaborate with appropriate finance, compliance, and legal subject matter experts in the negotiation and execution of contracts including Master Services Agreements Software License Agreements, Cloud-technologies including SaaS contracts, Master Product Agreements, Statements of Work, and Non-Disclosure Agreements
Qualifications/Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college and a minimum of 5 years of experience in IT Sourcing (OR High School Diploma / GED and a minimum 8 years of experience in IT Sourcing or IT Program Management) Adept at Office tools including Excel, Word, PPT and other workplace tools necessary for data analysis and contract review
Desired Characteristics:
Ability to work independently in a high volume, global environment
Ability to use Ariba and other ERP systems on day 1
Experience with RFQ and RFP development, implementation and execution
Highly organized and resilient
Able to flex as business priorities change
Proven ability to quickly learn processes for Buy to Pay and Source to Buy
Proven strong analytical skills
Demonstrated results-oriented team player
Demonstrated professional oral / written communication and negotiation skills
Strong customer focus and relationship management ability.
Proven strong project management skills
History/knowledge of supplier base consolidation
Work Schedule: M-F 40 hr./wk.
