About the job: 
Kent is hiring a Process Engineer with 5+ years of experience who has demonstrated technical competence in their field, plus strong capabilities in leadership, project coordination and communication. This position will assist in design, development, optimization and implementation of major processes and systems for projects associated with petrochemical, refining, oil and gas sectors. 

Your responsibilities:  
 
  • Provide some technical guidance to less experienced drafting and engineering personnel. 
  • Responsible for performing all aspects of engineering and analysis for new assigned units under minimal supervision.
  • With additional experience within a specialty, engineers at this level are expected to assist in the design of larger and more complex units.
  • Perform engineering studies, engineering design, specify process equipment, review and analysis of vendor data to satisfy project requirements.
  • Develop heat and material balance, process flow diagram (PFDs), process and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), preparation of process data sheets, equipment sizing, hydraulics line sizing under minimal supervision.
  • Utilize computer-based technology for process simulation and equipment design to achieve the process design work as defined by the project scope under minimum supervision.
  • Perform preliminary feasibility or environmental studies.
Your knowledge/skills, education, and experience: 
 
  • BS or MS in Chemical Engineering plus a minimum of 5 years of experience in oil and gas industry.
  • Texas Professional Engineer (PE) registration preferred.
  • Knowledge of process engineering guidelines and standards.
  • Process design techniques, analyses, practices, and procedures for all aspects of process engineering.
  • Experience using Aspen Hysys, ProII and other Simulation software desired.
