Product Security Engineer

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
The Product Security Engineer operates within the Engineering team composed of Network experts and Automation engineers, who design, build and operate Expereo’s core platforms provisioning and supporting systems. The Product Security Engineer is involved in working on all network security matters for the team’s projects. Here are how your day-today responsibilities of the role will look like, but are not limited to:
Prototype and develop new applications and network security-oriented solutions
Define network devices and configurate templates regarding security matters
Monitor and implement vendor security best practices across the core and CPE install base
Be the point of contact on all network security subjects within technology department
Co-ordinate the delivery of selected prototypes into actual production applications, as well as the documentation and support procedures
Support the business on continuous technology improvement within the Security scope
Monitor and maintain correct behaviors of developed tools
Interact with the legal department to provide advice on security regulations and abuse reports
Implement and co-ordinate best practices across Operational departments
Set the best example by following best practices and standards, as agreed upon with architects regarding the development of tools
Analyze security related data and define improvement areas in the systems
Create, maintain internal documentation and implement continuous training for network security matters
THE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
Good working knowledge of modern networking technologies and protocols: Cloud connectivity frameworks, SDN, SD-WAN, IPSec, TCP/IP and L2 technologies among which IPv6, BGP, VLAN, GRE, VXLAN, GENEVE
Previous Build and Run experience with SD-WAN technologies - VMWare, Cisco (Viptela/Meraki), CATO and CradlePoint. Relevant certifications are preferred
In-depth knowledge of Internet Access technologies (Broadband, DIA, wireless, 4G/5G), as well as regional last mile and global routing specifics
Track record in assessing and reducing attack surface of Internet-facing network infrastructure
Some knowledge of the automation related technologies:
APIs, micro-services Framework, YAML, JSON
Python, GraphQL, Ansible, Netmiko
Software versioning, cloud hosting platform(s) and CI/CD tools
Relational databases
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, customers, business partners, and consultants.
Strong customer service orientation, deep understanding of Customer Support Operations and Service operations performance metrics
Self‐motivated; takes personal accountability
